Dance and Theater Course Contracts

*Students will receive contracts in class with their beginning of the semester welcome letter. The website version is copy/pasted here for your convenience. Note: Students are required to have their course contract signed and returned as soon as possible.

Beginning/Intermediate Dance Course Contract

I have read and agree to the syllabus and course outline for the Beginning/Intermediate Dance Level courses. I will adhere to the conditions of this contract. I understand that this approved contract will not allow me to change from one class level to another.

I understand there is a required $20.00 class fee for this course. This fee will be used to cover the cost of production materials, royalty fees, costumes, props, travel expenses or any other needs that should arise during this course.

Supplies Needed:
- dry-erase markers (multiple colors)
-lined notebook paper, pencil/pen
*Students may use their cell phones in class. They will be permitted to share with a classmate if they do not have one.

Dress Out Clothing:
- dance pants or shorts (length must not be shorter than four inches above the knee)
- fitted t-shirt or tank top (no spaghetti straps)
- black or tan jazz shoes

Performance Uniform:
- black dance leggings (capris style)
- solid colored tank top
- black or tan jazz shoes or footies

I understand that I must participate in the following graded performances and/or rehearsals or complete an alternate assignment in lieu of the missed performance and/or rehearsal (See Make-Up Work Policy).

I understand that I must execute all choreography with proficiency to be eligible for performance. If I am unable to do so for any reason (sickness, injury, excessive absence, etc...), my instructor will remove me from participating in the performance/s until I improve.

I understand that being removed from the performance/s is not a free pass. In lieu of sitting-out, I must attend/watch the performance in support of my classmates or complete make-up work according to the class Make-Up Work Policy.

Proficient/Advanced Dance Course Contract

I have read and agree to the syllabus and pacing guide for the Proficient/Advanced Dance level courses. I will adhere to the conditions of this contract. I understand that this approved contract will not allow me to change from one class level to another without teacher recommendation.

I understand there is a required $20.00 class fee for this course. This fee will be used to cover the cost of production materials, costumes/props and travel expenses or any other needs that should arise during this course.
